Wing Young Huie is in Athens conducting a demonstration project of public art that involves engagement with a variety of constituencies in Athens. Asking strangers to ask each other questions, he then asks the participants to answer a key question that was raised and write their response on a chalk board, which they then hold while posing for a photo. Results have already been posted from the beginning of this project. In the interest of making it possible for those who wish to participate, here is the schedule for the rest of the project, which culminates on Thursday evening in conjunction with an open house to present and receive comments on the master plan for public art that is in process.
Updates and photos from this project are available on the Athens Cultural Affairs Commission (ACAC) social media platforms: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. The hashtag #athenspublicart is in use to collate posts by ACAC and others on these platforms.
