A new public artwork (funded by TSPLOST 2018), by local artist Joni Younkins-Herzog, has been installed in the Whitehall roundabout located at S. Milledge Avenue & Whitehall Road. “Phyllotaxis” is a 15ft steel sculpture inspired by organic forms and the golden ratio/Fibonacci sequence found in art, math, nature and architecture. A dedication event will be held Friday, October 15th at 10:30am. We ask all attending to please wear a mask and practice social distancing.
