The Unified Government of Athens-Clarke County (ACCGov) invites professional artists to submit qualifications for three sites for the new Classic Center Arena in Athens, Georgia. ACCGov is seeking public art for the exterior plaza, exterior wall, and interior entryway of the new arena coming to downtown Athens. The selected artists will work with government staff to create public art that enhances the visitor experience and complements the selected sites. Site 1: a three-dimensional, immersive artwork of landmark-scale, viewable from multiple vantage points, for the arena’s exterior plaza.

Site 2: a two or three-dimensional, two-story, wall-mounted artwork of landmark-scale, viewable from multiple vantage points, for the arena’s exterior wall.

Site 3: a large-scale mural or mosaic, celebrating Georgia music history, for the arena’s interior entryway.
